STEM education deliberately integrates science, technology, engineering,  mathematics, and related practices to allow students to seek and develop solutions to their problems and to create evidence-based explanations of real-world phenomena. Creating a student-centric learning environment. Student social, emotional, physical and academic needs through joint contributions from schools, families and community partners.

Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education is critical to New York's continued financial success. Nationally, STEM's career growth  outpaces that of  other career categories. In addition, STEM careers offer higher starting salaries and  career opportunities than most other disciplines. Today's career requires STEM skills at all levels of employment, from the services industry to engineering. Young adults without advanced math, science, and technical skills not only have numerous opportunities for high-paying, high-demand STEM careers, but these skills are successful in other industries. This combination of high needs and high opportunities in STEM subjects should consider appropriate preparation and support for individuals pursuing STEM research.

STEM education is best maintained through support and integrated experiences in individual content areas. In addition, integrated coursework and projects can be used to support both academic and career and technical education (CTE) standards. STEM education involves problem-solving and engineering practices, seamlessly integrates technology, and requires an integrated approach to learning that holds great promise for the achievement of mathematics and science. Providing a safe and healthy school environment, and coursework in other subject areas (arts, language skills, social studies, health, etc.) provide opportunities to improve learning, processing, research, literacy, and communication skills. This research project supports and improves various STEM subjects.
